Artist Statement

My work is about the idea that all things are related, that energy travels its pathways in circular motions and by a multiplicity of variations returns to the source. I attempt to draw parallels between carbon based lifeform's systemic recirculations, and the pathways of the temporal world. In short, how everything in the loop affects all the other little loops; everything is in a cycle of constant change, and nothing is permanent.
The concept of rebirth is ancient, yet is mostly refrained modernly in Eastern Religions. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it merely evolves and moves through a different door.
Within the frameworks and webs that are employed in my work, I try to bring images together that convey a narrative, or perhaps a timeline. The idea that the road outside your door can take you to infinite destinations, and yet still return you to the source.
